After a gap of 21 years, India's Harnaaz Sandhu has brought back the "Miss Universe" title. While as a nation we celebrated and took pride in this achievement, very few of us tried to look at what lies beyond a beautiful face? Given the generational shift, I hope our society will not limit her name to quiz books alone. I wish 21st century India would delve deep to reflect and understand that beauty pageants are assessing more than just the external looks. During multiple rounds, the contestants are evaluated on strict parameters. They prepare for it with sheer discipline, being conscious of every routine activity like eating, talking, walking, thinking, and conducting themselves.
